The band toured with Knoxville, TN based alternative rock band, 10 Years. Luke Narey of Blue Rising is also currently the touring drummer for 10 Years.
our story
Bloomington, Indiana based Blue Rising formed its current lineup in 2012 and since then have released 3 full length albums, 3 EPs, and 3 music videos. They have millions of cumulative streams across digital platforms. Known for their live performances and loved for their original songs, they have built a loyal regional following in the Midwestern United States.
2012-2018
Blue Rising built a grass roots following centered in Bloomington, IN and focused on original rock music. They released 36 original songs accross 3 albums and 3 EPs and became known for the strength of their songwriting and live performances.
2020-Today
While the pandemic raged, and in the wake of losing both his parents suddenly, singer Austin Frink was diagnosed with thryoid cancer. The surgery resulted in total vocal loss. Blue Rising took hiatus. Ultimately, his vocal ability returned and he is now cancer free.
“One of our new songs has a lyric that says, ‘There’s nothing at all that I can’t take.’ The songs from the Goliath EP helped me to recover. They gave me strength and hope, and that’s why I release music. Because I know that it can help others like it helps me.”
